South West Tool Hire is proud to play an active part in the local community here in Bristol. Supporting neighbourhood projects, charities and churches is an important part of what the team does every day – and a recent letter from Beverley Thompson-Francis at Bristol Central Seventh-day Adventist Church is a wonderful example of that in action.
Before Christmas, Beverley and her church family were preparing a special event for local community members and homeless people, and got in touch with South West Tool Hire for help.
The outcome… well, in her own words:
“Before Christmas, we at Bristol Central Seventh-day Adventist Church, Bristol, wanted to spruce up our church hall as we were planning a Christmas party for community members and local homeless people. The hall floor was in a very poor condition and was badly in need of sanding, staining, and re-varnishing. With very limited funds available, this felt like an almost impossible task.
My builder, Colin Pike, kindly agreed to carry out the work free of charge. On the off chance, I contacted Southwest Tool Hire to ask whether they might be willing to supply a floor sander at no cost. I honestly did not expect this request to be successful — but I was completely amazed by their response.
Southwest Tool Hire not only supplied the sanders, sanding paper, and everything needed to complete the job, but they also delivered and collected the equipment free of charge. The manager, Richard, said he would make it happen — and he truly did. He worked closely with me around my timelines, and nothing was ever a problem.
Everything ran like clockwork. The team were professional, generous, and extremely accommodating throughout, despite this being a completely free service. Their kindness made a real difference to our project and to the people we were hoping to bless through it.
I am incredibly grateful to Southwest Tool Hire and would recommend them wholeheartedly — not only for their generosity, but for their professionalism, reliability, and outstanding customer service.
